We cannot hold your hand today. We cannot see your smile. We cannot hear your voice now. Our children who are gone.

But, we recall your face still, the songs, the talks, the sighs, and the story times and winter walks, and the sharing secret things.

I know you have helped us live beyond your time with us. You gave us clearer eyes to see. You gave us finer ears to hear what living means, what dying means. Our children who are gone.

So here it is Thanksgiving Day, and you are not with us. And while I cry a mother's tears, I thank you for the gifts you were, and all the gifts you gave to me. Our children who are gone.

 

Sorry I do not visit as I once did, I just find it so hard to visit our loved ones sites, I write in my journal instead, but please know that I keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

We thought of you today,

My son Daniel plays baseball for coach Fred C ,  we recently returned to Ohio from Texas. I noticed the boys had memorial T-Shirts with your son's name and so I did some research which brought me here.

I am so sorry for your loss he seemed a fine boy and athlete, I had that little poem on my computer I do not know who wrote it or when I got it. It just seemed fitting, be comforted knowing he is in Heaven.
